The Biltmore Park Farmers Market is a seasonal outdoor market held in Biltmore Park Town Square, on the south side of Asheville. It is a producer-only market, which is the single most important thing to know about it: everything on sale is grown, raised, or made by the person selling it. There are no resellers and no middlemen.
If you have ever wondered whether the tomatoes at a market actually came from the farm on the sign, producer-only is the rule that answers the question. You are buying from the grower, and you can ask them anything.
First — this is not the Biltmore Estate
Worth clearing up, because the names cause genuine confusion: Biltmore Park is a walkable town-square development in south Asheville. It is a separate place from the Biltmore Estate, several miles away. If you are searching for a market and the Estate is what you had in mind, this is a different destination entirely — and an easier one to visit, with ordinary parking and no admission ticket.
What you will find
Expect fresh produce, meats, and baked goods from local vendors, with the line-up shifting through the season as different crops come in. Because it is producer-only, the stalls tend to reflect what is genuinely being harvested nearby that week rather than what could be trucked in.
The town-square setting makes it unusually easy to combine with something else. Unlike markets held in a field or a parking lot, this one sits among shops and restaurants, so a market run can turn into lunch without moving the car.
